SaaS funding roundup: $1.1B raised in the first week of September

Wonderful and Gimlet Labs led a week dominated by AI infrastructure and agent platforms — plus Adobe’s buy of Rilo.

The first week of September was a big one for SaaS and AI funding. Here's every notable round from September 1–7, 2026, plus one acquisition.

The deal

Adobe acquired Rilo, an Indian startup that automates marketing workflows. Terms weren't disclosed (September 2).

What the week tells us

AI infrastructure and agent platforms took most of the money. Wonderful and Gimlet Labs alone raised $850 million, more than all the other rounds in the table combined.
Vertical SaaS is still getting funded. Fitness studios (Enhance), healthcare (PatientIQ) and HR (PeopleX) all raised, and most are adding AI to their products.
AI safety is becoming its own category. Lasso Security's round is part of growing spending on controls for AI agents in the enterprise.
